ARCHITECTS HOUSE DRAWING STUDIO

The Architects House Drawing Studio offers the opportunity to learn the basics of drawing, improve existing skills and develop spatial thinking, as well as creative perception.

The studio's classes are mainly attended by young people who are preparing for specific entrance exams, for example, the drawing exam at the Faculty of Architecture or the Latvian Academy of Fine Arts, as well as those who plan to enter creative universities abroad and for this purpose want to create a portfolio of their work.

We accept both young people with experience, whom we help improve and develop existing skills, and students with no knowledge at all. We are also happy to accept 9th-10th grade students so that they can assess their abilities and desires in the field of drawing in a timely manner.

GOALS

REZULTĀTS

The main goal of the study is to promote the development of spatial thinking, understanding of geometric shapes and the structural structure of the human head. During the training process, special attention is paid to:

composition
perspective
construction
proportions
graphic execution
freehand pencil
technique acquisition

Objectives During the studies, participants acquire the skills to accurately and freely depict spatial objects on paper – still lifes, classical heads, capitals and compositions of geometric shapes (clauses). These skills provide a solid foundation and competitive advantages in entrance exams at specialized art, architecture and design educational institutions:

as well as preparing a portfolio of creative works

for studies at foreign universities

To date, more than 500 young people with our support
have successfully started their studies at RTU Faculty of Architecture (now – Institute of Architecture and Design). Many of our students continue their education or professional activities abroad – in Great Britain, Germany, France, Denmark and other parts of the world.
